Born in Europe but raised in Illinois, I have also lived in Valletta, Malta; Heidelberg, Germany; and Split, Croatia. I have a penchant for off-season travel and enjoy delving into a place’s history.

Some of my dearest globetrotting experiences have been sharing a bottle of champagne with French cousins in Lorraine, learning how to milk goats in a sleepy Bulgarian village, and ringing in the Vietnamese New Year with a Hanoi family.

My writing and photography have appeared in a variety of outlets, including Fodor’s Travel, Frommer’s, and International Living. I have also created branded content for my Eloquence clients.

I specialize in creating content about:

  • artisanal products
  • cultural heritage
  • history
  • slow, immersive travel
  • sustainability

Geographic areas of focus include:

  • Croatia
  • France
  • Germany
  • Malta

I shot this video footage of Valletta, Malta’s capital city. In addition, I edited the video clips and did the narrations. Malta was my home for one year.

My husband and I have spent more than a year living in Croatia on a part-time basis. In this video for International Living, we discuss our impressions of Croatian culture and everyday life.
