Born in Europe but raised in Illinois, I have also lived in Valletta, Malta; Heidelberg, Germany; and Split, Croatia. I have a penchant for off-season travel and enjoy delving into a place’s history.
Some of my dearest globetrotting experiences have been sharing a bottle of champagne with French cousins in Lorraine, learning how to milk goats in a sleepy Bulgarian village, and ringing in the Vietnamese New Year with a Hanoi family.
My writing and photography have appeared in a variety of outlets, including Fodor’s Travel, Frommer’s, and International Living. I have also created branded content for my Eloquence clients.

I specialize in creating content about:
- artisanal products
- cultural heritage
- history
- slow, immersive travel
- sustainability
Geographic areas of focus include:
- Croatia
- France
- Germany
- Malta
