Hoi An, Vietnam’s Old Town is characterized by buildings painted in a creamy yellow hue, colorful lanterns, and moss-covered walls and balusters.
Another ubiquitous detail are Vietnamese watchdogs. Some canines are calm and seemingly immune to the flurry of never-ending activity, whereas others — like the quartet featured here — can’t refrain from barking at one another or passersby.

So beautiful! I love this Colonial style. I saw a similar scene of dogs on balconies in Barcelona – the city of Gothic balconies ;)
Aren’t these doggies lucky to live in such picturesque places?!
I think those doggies are more interested in tourists and new people to bark at!!
Wonder if they try jumping off! Love the details on those balconies.
Hopefully not! Hoi An does have some wonderful architectural detail and somehow the moss and mold only enhances it, hinting at the city’s rich history.
